You don’t know me, You don’t know my life
Ok, OP here.
Let me take a moment to let everyone know that these post are meant to be snarky or witty.
I’m being serious when I make these.
Meaning that I’m trying to address common scenarios and situations in the gay community, mainly among gay men.
This common meme/joke/fuckery that is gay men jokingly portraying themselves as “ghetto/sassy Black women” is racist, sexist and annoying as hell.
Stop it.
It’s not cute.
It never has been.
And never will be.
I don’t care if your faghags get a trip out of it.
Because they’re not funny either.
So, please, can we all just stop it?
Cause seriously, and the only thing it will get you is a severe reading from me and others.
So seriously, cut it the fuck out.
Nope, I am still going to keep doing it, I find it funny and mostly do it online because I enjoy it, in the real world my persona is overtly masculine, and I could understand another gay man being annoyed at it because it creates an environment where gay men are expected to display feminine characteristics, or even fulfill some comic relief role to be socially acceptable.
I however refute your assertion it’s either either sexist or racist, I’m not discriminating against or hurting anybody. Emulation is a form of flattery, sassy black women are empowered, being both a feminist and strong black female role model. Most importantly it is a joke, nothing should be beyond humour, as an Irish man do you think I get pissed off when some-one makes a drunk Irish joke, or uses a crappy Irish accent for humour purposes, no. I take it in the spirit it’s intended, humourously.
but please feel free to give me “severe reading”, a threat which is no way sounds like the sassy black woman talk you’re condemning me for.
First and foremost. Butch queen or no, you’re still wrong.
I don’t find it annoying becuase it’s portraying “feminine characteristics” (that would be ridiculous because there’s nothing wrong with femininity)
I find it annoying and wrong because it is mocking Black Women.
Just because your intent isn’t harmful or malicious, doesn’t mean that it won’t be.The idea that Black women are all pillars of strength and sassiness is dehumanizing as hell. It perpetuates this racist stereotype that the media has been portraying for as long as it’s been portraying Black Women.
And who the fuck was asking to be emulated. Flattery my ass, if the intended person isn’t flattered, it’s not flattering. Plain and simple.
And the bolded, you’re making the assumption that Black Women are sassy 24/7. That is impossible.
You perpetrating the idea that a person is capable of upholding this “sassy” mentality on a regular basis.
Lost their job? Still sassy!
House forclosed? Still sassy!
Just got in a car accident? Still sassy!
Someone gave you flowers? Still sassy!
People do not work that way! Ask any Black women and they’ll tell you that the idea of a “sassy” Black woman is bs!
It’s racist and it’s sexist. It is appropriate the experiences of Black Women and acting as if it is commonplace.
You’re being racist. Plain and simple.
Hey, uh…black woman here. and i have to agree with the chocolate dandy. I am a human being as well…not a character…please stop swiveling your neck and snapping your fingers whenever you want to “catch an attitude” and use whack old 90’s slang to express yourself.
its not only insulting, but its corny and embarrassing as well. doing the “Sassy black woman” schtick is like me speaking in a high nasal voice and acting as though i have a stick up my ass and saying thats my “weak white women” act.

I don’t like mayo. Once again, this was a joke. I’m not black, nor am I a woman.
Speak on it.
